Ice storm in Franklin, Wed. Jan. 6, 2009 : These photos were taken near my home in Franklin, Vermont on Jan. 6, 2010. We’ve had a couple of days of freezing drizzle that, combined with recent heavy snow, has weighed down the trees in encased road signs in a layer of ice. I’ll be adding more photos to the gallery in the days to come.

Ice storm aftermath : Within a couple of days after the freezing rain finally ended, the sun came out - for a change! - making some interesting contrasts between the sky and ice-covered trees.
